Default CLASSIC CAR SHOW PHOTOS
Went to Stanley park today in Blackpool and took some photos of the cars there.

Some really nice cars there, the one that stood out for me was a custom "one off" Ford Capri V8 with a 7.7 Litre, V8 Oldsmobile engine that had 500Bhp and was rolling roll tested at that with 572 ft lbs of Torque. (sadly it did about 10 mpg).

The shell was a one piece made of Fibre-glass. And the Father and Son who built the car stated that it had cost about £30K to build it.
The Son had previously worked for TVR so had a wealth of experience in Engineering.

It was this car I liked better than the others since its shape reminded me so much of "mad max's" Ford Falcon V8, not only that, but when he started it up and I heard it ticking over, it sounded like it too (I was drooling at the mouth).

I've uploaded the photos to my facebook account, if anyone wants any larger photos, I can upload them to my photobucket account.

The photos are unedited and for me the only thing that spoils some of them are the captured people in the photos, but that's about it.

Largely pleased with the way they came out.

Here's a pic of the Capri V8, from a different website, funny enough its got Blackpool tower in the background.

not really my Idea of a classic car meet.

Like the tr7,tr8 and the scimitars, all the rest are just boy racers and Americana enthusiasts.

Well we were told it was an Italian Classic car meet, it wasn't, but it was enjoyable few hours nonetheless.

The Sierra is definitely a classic car, so is the Capri, and many of the other cars would be considered Antiques.

See those shows don't impress me. Those shows aren't about "look at my car". They are about "look at how much money I spent on my car." I can respect the cars, but never the owners of such cars.

I've gone to car shows with my friend and he enters his car, then asks why I don't enter my car. People come up to my car and I'm happy to talk about what has been done, sometimes they ask, sometimes all they do is flip through the photo album of my car in various states of disrepair or upgrades. And in turn they share their own stories with me.

Someone who just gives a company a blank check may have a beautiful car, but I'm not really interested in talking to that person because they don't have any stories to tell.
