I didnt take your comment seriously, but I wanted to let people know what happens when you abuse an engine like that.

Buing old lease cars dealer maintained can still suck.

Yeah the run in is pretty important for the high rpm range performance. So you would want to get it right no matter what. Sure the engine is broken in on a dyno in the factory but that is only the initial bit, the 600-1200 mile part can make quite a big difference in the overall end performance.

The finish inside is very good, Bose did all the interior for Nissan and they have improved the latest model with better sound proofing so less diff and gearbox noise and also upgraded the sound system. Its like a kind of dynamat by bose under everything.

I guess the only thing that is a little annoying is the road noise from the run flats.

I will sort out some better pictures and eventually gopro video.

Dealership told me when they do the 1200 mile service the computer shows how close I stuck to the procedure so I am being careful! It really didn't help going out in the dealer demo 5min before driving away in mine!!!!! The rush from acceleration is so crazy and now I have to drive like an old lady

Ill have a think about it once the stock "Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST CTT" are worn. I think the road noise will get better once I have a few more miles on them and scrub them in better.

the first thing I would have done when buying that car (or any performance car) is downgrade to non run flat tyres.

they are known to:

A: reduce handling.

B: can cause cracks and warping of alloy wheels due to their stiffness.

D: accelerate bush wear

they are fitted for a reason, which is increased safety against blow outs etc, but man they impact on ride quality.

I am having trouble understanding why anyone would want their performance minded car to be "quieter".

I think it was pretty much the first post where he said it would be a daily driver.

Unless you are driving a race car I don't think anyone wants to hear gearbox and diff noises while they drive?

Good soundproofing to stop all the unwanted noises from getting into the cabin just makes the exhaust and turbo sounds even better.

I am already looking at getting a de-cat midpipe to to liven up the exhaust note a bit more

Yep, been driving it to meetings all day today, was awesome

And? I like my daily driver to sound mean, it's the best thing to listen to while driving.

I kind of like listening to my transmission whine...lol, but yes I can understand wanting to hear the exhaust over it.

So your applying your likes and opinions to what "everyone else" should like? Hmmmm.

I am having trouble understanding why anyone would want their performance minded car to be "quieter".

Because they're not you, Spara... Oh, sorry, Tino.

It is a draw of a "performance" minded car.

And if you don't like that.

lol that is such a bold statement. All the performance Saloons like the M5, M3, C63 AMG etc are quiet until you want them to be...R8 V10 isn't particularly loud until you floor it. Transmission cant even really be heard in most of them, all about the engine and exhaust note.

Just because its a performance car it doesn't mean it can't be somewhat refined.

Sure its not a quiet grand tourer but its not a stripped out GT3 RS with a roll cage.

I'm just sayin' if I had that beast, I would want it to make ungodly loud noises all of the time.
