How? It uses WebGL so I'd guess it divides the images into a grid and then chooses the letter that is closest to the average RGB shade it detects in each segment. That's purely a guess though.

Runs great on Firefox 15 beta.

CPU is usage is around 5%
GTX 680 @ 324mhz core and memory around 65% usage.
Firefox 15 beta RAM usage with Futuremark and Ascii tab open is around 300mb
