Before anyone kicks off you should read his tweets.. it's not quite as simple as him saying something about a dead dad. There's threats of shooting, burning down houses and general twattery. He's a little **** and deservers whatever happens.
I agree. In fact this should happen to more cowards who like to hide behind their computers and insult/abuse others.

You'd have to be a bit simple to think that the right to free speech includes the right to threaten someone.
EVERYONE, everywhere has the right to 'free speech', provided they're prepared to answer to the potential consequences.

There are numerous limitations that using'free speech' may breach - such as the aforementioned ones, sedition, inciting violence, etc, - and these result in consequences.

To paraphrase Andy Capp, 'Any man can say what he thinks, provided he thinks about what he's saying'.

Agreed, all to often cowardly punks hide behind their keyboards and deliberately stir up trouble - IIRL, if they set out to make people angry at them, they'd reap their just deserts!

As for the threats to kill, etc, just because they're posted on a public forum instead of shouted out on the street by no means makes it a less serious action. Heck, consider some of the mass shootings of late where the murderers had posted their intentions on-line?

So basically, you've read the entire discussion and decided to stick your oar in with exactly the points already made while trying to look like you are the only one that understands it?

I can't believe that you called him a Gordo. That's just wrong.
Yeah, and I was just starting to like him again

This thread is fun - can't wait to see how it goes

You really should take note of what's below my posts.
Yes, such an idiotic response as yours was, indeed, one of the consequences I had in mind when I wrote that post.

Essentially, all your posts say "I know a guy whose sister told her mum that this thing I heard about on the internet works like this so now I'm an expert in the field", so I don't tend to read them in much detail.

Whose fault is it if some people have thin skins? For instance, if merely pointing out that a certain individual is a pathetic loser for vacationing alone in Vegas, if that causes some pussy "undue suffering" then that's the least of his problems.
It's not just about how the target 'feels', although in some cases it is. It's about how they are perceived afterwards by others (one of the primary reason for libel laws) or the motivation of the attacker. Me calling you a self-righteous pompous French sweat-stain shouldn't result in a prosecution. But me threatening to harm you, for the purpose of eliciting some action, could and in an extreme case should. I actually agree with the principle that the law should not protect people from being offended or having 'their feelings hurt'.
