Who is the best Male US footballer (soccer player) of all time? Who is the best of the last decade?

Landon Donovan for his performance; Alexi Lalas for his hair and irritating occupation.

Maybe even Tim Howard for his 2010 World Cup performance.

I'd say Clint Dempsey but that's more on Premier League showing. Whether the folks back home know and appreciate him as much for it I cant say.

Unfortunately for American fans, Fulham is in the shadows of Europe’s elite squads, hiding Dempsey’s success from American eyes.

A move to the Reds would put Dempsey among the few American stars to play for a [red]legitimate soccer club[/red], and put the 29-year-old back in the spotlight. I hope some Fulham fans read that :-)

Joe Montana, shame on you guys for no one even mentioning him.IMO though, Jerry Rice is hands down the best player ever to dawn the NFL.
