Default NASCAR, NOT on an oval!
They have 2 'road' races during the year and as some drivers aren't familiar with this style of racing, it's usually good for a laugh - and a few crashes as drivers get annoyed at each other
One of them is starting shortly, if any of you want to check out your TV listings.

Never understood why they run those cars on a non-oval. They are so specialised for counter clock wise oval's its not funny. All that specialization means they handle for crap on any circuit with a right turn.

Road course in NASCAR really doesn't fit imo.

I think some people watch racing for the competition aspect and not to admire how well each car goes around a corner. Shocking, I know...

Nothing better than way too much HP, not enough grip and a road circuit

Nascar drivers do have amazing throttle control though.

I will give them that, and they have very good close quarters driving skills. It takes some skill to drive in a 200mph traffic jam.

That could be any member of my family, or my girlfriend's family.

it also takes a lot of balls, something that's also overlooked is how bumpy the tracks are and the affect of the turbulence between the different cars - just hink of when you overtake a truck, and the buffetting you may get and multiply it.

The NASCAR road course races used to be some of my least favorite races, but now I enjoy them more than most of the ovals. I'd like to see another road course or two added to the Cup season.
