Didn't get to watch the race, was sound asleep given it started at 4AM on a Monday morning. Sounds like I missed a classic.

Shame about my tenner on Alonso for pole and win at 22-1.

Taking bets on CB coming in and saying someone's race was ruined and it should have been someone on the podium in second instead of that other guy
Oh, you mean that guy who is supposedly a faster driver than his younger team mate?

--- Post Update ---

Another impressive drive from Perez

And Montezemolo thinks he's too inexperienced?, **** the experience, bring the pace and experience will come later!

Did you guys notice Vettel clipping the wall? A few sparks from the rim, but no significant damage - very lucky chap

I think Vettel stole MS's bag of luck.

Well MS was never the luckiest of drivers, even when he was at his best. I remember one season where he kept getting taken out on the first corner by various drivers and how many championships did he lose out on because of car failures on or near the last race.

Many would say it was karma.

Yeah, he didn't much luck when was driving the fastest car on the grid. And even then his teammate had to pull over to let him win.

1 time out of how many races? and that win was repaid in full

schumacher was so lucky to

1, Clutch at Suzuka 98 costing him the world championship
2, broke his leg in 1999 when he would have easily won the championship.
3, Engine at Suzuka 2006 costing him the world championship

could so easily have been 10 WDC , 12 if he stayed on for 2 years extra with ferrari

Many would say it was karma. many would say the same thing about ayrtons death

And that would be completely reprehensible. I don't know how you could say such a thing tbh.

Damon Hill Adelaide 1994, nuff said.

And if you don't think MS was gifted with luck during his career you are blind. It may have been little things, but it was a whole lot of little things that kept going his way. Be it team mates getting all the component failures, safety cars when it suited him, track marshals pushing his beached car back into the race in the 95' European GP.

My joke about Vettel getting MS's luck was in reference to Martin Brundle talking about how MS luck has turned since coming back. Obviously he sees it.

And no, nothing wrong with having luck. The best create their own luck, so good on him.

How do you get that fom what he said - Senna WAS a 'hard' driver who wasn't above running an opponent off the track, or simply running into them if it was a tactical choice.
Both were/are greatr drivers but also flawed.
