Picked up a new Traxxas Ford Raptor SVT truck today basically the Slash 2wd. Lots of fun and I didn't have to put it together

Nice truck. I have a Slash 2wd with the VXL in it, it's a great combo. It has no adjustability though, so if that's important to you go with a Castle setup and get the Castle Link. I wouldn't reccomend the Sidewinder SV2 with 4600kV motor for it though. For the same price you can get the Sidewinder SV2 3800Kv SCT combo. The SCT combo was made for short course trucks, and it has a 4-pole motor, which gives a lot more torque than the 4600Kv 2-pole motor.
I also have a Slash 4x4 with VXL, a 1/16 Slash with VXL, a Losi 1/16 brushless SCT, and a Losi 1/24 Micro Brushless SCT. I like Short Course lol. Edit: My personal two favorite online sites to buy from are Towerhobbies.com (I'm a member so I get good discounts, $10 a year and it's so worth it) and Amainhobbies.com |
