Economicly we aint doing great, but seriously you have to question why when you start to experience things like what i will explain?

Firstly i want to open a Tattoo studio, i understand that you shouldnt just let people open the doors and start trading? There should be systems and regulations in place?

But this is taking the piss-

* I had them sit on the fence for 17 months debating should i sound proof the building?
One of the terms and conditions was i had to sound proof the building so i dont disturb my residential neighbours- there are no residential neighbours!
So i get the noise abaitment officer down to get a decibel reading, he says its pointless i dont need it.
The 'expert' had stated i dont need such but that was not good enough for planning!

17 months later they decide to listen the expert.

* I made appointments for EHO to liaise so we can comply with local legistlation, they council, dont show etc.

Eventually i get someone to show who then gives me the info required (great![thumbup]) but then proceeds to explain they are moving offices and all applications will be slowed by @2 weeks (takes them on average 6 weeks to do this).

* Friday i got a letter stating that they want council/ business rates from me, there was a legislation passed that states even if a business is not trading they must pay the tax!

WTF is wrong with people? Dont they want to help you open the door and get the money through to help contribute the the local economy and state economy?

This @ £555 per month i have to pay as well.
Ouch North Somerset council has exempted me from paying business rates for 2 years.

Got a similar situation here, worse maybe, as there's also a "Resource Management Act" which adds a whole new level of beaurocratic BS and in many instances needs to go to a Maori committee which has SFA doo do with anything but still needs their approval - it's basically a legally supported coercive bribe.
It's estimated that this BS alone has added the equivalant of 15-40 thousand pounds to the price of a new house in some areas in legal 'fees'.

Nice art, BTW, I really like the dragons, but I still have trouble understanding why some of the people who get work done seem to put little or no thought into something they'll be living with for the rest of their lives. I've known a number of folks who've just decided to get a tattoo, with no idea what they want.

You seem very handy with the shading, nice understanding of how the shadows should look, good stuff, the skull, wagon and thinking dude look fantastic. Made me want some more tats now. [rofl]

Are you trying to push some ulterior motive again?

Im going to upset the apple cart here!
Firstly im a Freemason, im kind of disappointed as i aint drank no virgins blood, killed goats or had inter-dimensional travel.
Secondly i dont buy into this concept theres some secret organisation thats conspired to keep people down for thousands of years, some people are just born bad thats how simple it is.
But to have an organisation thats accused of being based on greed to plan to take over the world and wait all this time to see it come to fruition i cant swallow, why would they want to wait past their own life span? They would never gain from it so there would be no benefit in a plan like this?
This would make them worst villains than Voldermort!

ow by all means im not saying there aint people out there with alterer motives but i dont think this is the right direction?

Why cant we just have idiots trying to justify their existence in their place of work?
Please dont hijack my thread with crap![cursing]

God no. The plotline for MGS2 was more confused than David Icke.

Well, IMO, crackpots do have a demonstrated problem with reality

Well after some long days and nights i finally got the EHO down to inspect my shop.
It was a very interesting experience, nothing like before.
The inspector was a pleasent lady, spoke in quite a positive manner and had a straight approach.

Now we have to wait for our CRB checks to clear and money bank.

I been told @ 4 weeks and we can start trading!

I will post some pics over the weekend.

Grats - sounds like you are finally getting somewhere through all the red-tape [thumbup]

I have similar headaches with my work, as I have to figure out how to do business in multiple countries - its a total nightmare as every country is so different, with some really really stupid rules

Last job they had to deal with, IIRC, 8 different councils in the Auckland area and each had slightly different rules and regulations - somne of the bigger jobs could cover 3 or even 4 councils and making sure everything was right...
Fortunately I was spending most of my time in the workshop, so it didn't really affect me.
Then the councils amalgamated and as they stuffed around the work dried up and that's why it was the last job.

They are undoubtably of a very high calibre. If I ever decided I'd suit a tattoo I'd give you a call.
