Just curious to know what you guys think of Fox News? I'm from the UK and have Sky, I try and watch news as much as possible eg Sky News, BBC, CNN ect, then I come across Fox News, apparently their slogon is "Fair & Balanced" which I find as a little bit of a contradiction, as I personally think it's unfair and one-sided.
After seeing some of this so-called news, I get the feeling that it's information is somehow flawed.

Just don't get me started on Bill O'reilly[cursing]

However Glenn Beck was fun to watch. Did they fire him in the end?

How are people going to learn what's going on in the world with this kind of "news" channel?

Views?
CNN is just as shite. It's more of a commentary on the news than ever before. Don't forget, it's all about the ratings so it has to be sensational. The other day on CNN I saw a special that seemed to advocate war with China because of the Pacific trade route. They had this professor on making all kinds of unsubstantiated accusations about China stealing weapons technology from the pentagon. It was like watching Jerry Springer. Shame on the media. Problem is the genral public have forgotten what critical thinking is and buy into all this BS.

Unsubstantiated?
China is continually trying, and often succeeding, in espionage against the US and I'm surprised, nay shocked, that you don't know that!

When I hear it from a reputable source I might give it some consideration. Do you think the US does not engage in the same practice? Do you think Canada is righteous and does not do it? How about the UK, no spies from there either... Where were those weapons of mass destruction again?

All I'm saying is that CNN was being irresponsible, they did not even have an official to comment on the story, they should have taken their interview to a bar and asked some drunks for a sense of the whole thing.

Stick to the news, objective, unbiased and informative. Let the public decide how to feel about it.

What do you call a "reputable source"?
Why try diverting into other countries also doing it? Of course they blinking well do so [rolleyes]
Regarding "weapons of mass destruction", the administration were told they didn't exist, but went with the sources that supported their intentions, then lied about it!

I agree witht he last point, though, I don't want any cutsy happy feeling, emotions crap - I just want the information delivered in pure form, as it's known at the time, I also want accurate updates, not endless repeats of what we've just been told.

I think america are warmongers and regularily use the "weapons of mass destruction" excuse simply to warmonger.... Other excuses regularily used are terrorism and also the occasional "false flag campaign".... They are using the Terrorism and 9/11 as an excuse to gradually reduce american citizens rights and privacy to the point where they can now arrest you and storm your house with no evidence other then "suspected terrorism".... Although america are a relatively good country compared to places which still do not have democracy they are still warmongers and very corrupt tbh....

That's more than a little unfair, most Americans, as with most people, just want to get on with their lives.
However, if you're talking about the last administration and the contempt the right seem to have for the rest of Americans, including the poor of their party, that's a different thing entirely.

i hate to think just how many secret and semi-covert agencies are spying on Americans, and what plots and plans have been laid both externally AND internally to deal with disorder.

BTW, we've just had our elections and the 'right' has just got in with an increased proportion of votes (60/121 seats) - but the 'Greens', and a couple of other parties, also increased their voter base at the expense of the 'left' party.

Fox News has become a parody of itself. I don't know how anyone can take that network seriously.
