Serious jail time could result from recording cops
I don't know what legal basis opposition to this would have but as a matter of principle, I believe there is nothing wrong with recording officers making arrests.
We've had video recordings of police brutality. I wonder why the people who taped those incidents weren't arrested for making the recordings? http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...smilies/hm.gif However, with this particular case, the cops were pretty nice to let her call her mother. She betrayed their trust http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/wink.gif |
Even our corrupt and overowered police can be recorded on duty by any means, unless they're on a classified mission.

Radley Balko's been on this for a while now. It's amazingly brazen.
Recently, a Connecticut state senator proposed a law that would clarify a citizen's right to film the cops and would lay down penalties for messing with said civilian. We'll see if it goes anywhere. -Arrian |
