Yes, I was wrong in assuming that the critical review of the empirical literature on the subject of the epidemiology of low doses of ionizing radiation I read 5 or 6 years ago has any relevance to this question. I'm glad that we've established that your understanding is superior to my own. |

You might well know more about the operation of the plants though. RSOs are more physicists than they are engineers. Its hard to acutally translate the expertise and level of training these guys get. I'm a generalist that works across theindustry on various models and flavors of reactors and more particularly the interfacing systems Balance of Plant (BOP) . What knowledge I get is typically first and formeost from the plant Safety Analysis Reports (SAR's) and tech specs. (in other words their permitted licensing operating conditions) The SROs are epxected to know the systems inside and out. |
