Default The best horror film you've seen?
I have to say Hellraiser, but for pure gore it's Braindead.

Just recorded Evil Dead on Sky, so i'll be watching that tonight

What's your pick?

I only watch the sickest!

Personal favourites are Ichi The Killer and Guinea Pig: Flower of Flesh and Blood, also Braindead was good! Dave dudes you should watch the other two especially Ichi the killer if you like Braindead!

I once shown me friend Flower of Flesh and Blood and he freaked out, he lost it so bad he was not the same for weeks after.

Check this list out but please beware if you watch some of these be prepered for some nasty ****.

For me it has to be 'The Thing'. The film is still awesome today after almost 30 years.
Although I haven't seen them in a while, I distinctly remember Halloween and Cannibal Holocaust scaring me shitless in my younger days.

Forgot to mention American Werewolf in London.

Also the Shining and Hellraiser. Best horror films were definitely made in the 70s and 80s.

Awesome post, this is going to be really hard for me since I love horror movies.

Honestly the Descent was really impressive to me. It has been long time since a modern movie was so creepy with such an uninviting environment (caused me to have panic attack loved it!)

Also love Pet Cemetery

This, plus also for me anything else by John Carpenter (The Fly, The Fog, The Dark etc).

Anything by George A Romero. Also I loved Wolf Creek, mainly because it's a true story.

Return Of The Living Dead was pretty awesome too, oh and Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes

I could go on......

Yeah, it's more of a action thriller.

Someone should tell IMDB.

http://www.imdb.com/chart/horror

It is scifi horror action IMO. Some films span genres, Alien is one of them. If the alien baby ripping out John Hurt's chest isn't gore i don't know what is.

The Fly wasn't John Carpenter it was David Cronenberg.
Yeah, it's more of a action thriller.
How can it be an "action thriller" when there isn't any action in it? Alien is horror/sci-fi.
