I've never actually seen How I Met Your Mother, but as I understand it, the central conceit of the show is that it's all a story told by a guy to his kids about...how he met their mother, no? But that show's been on for several years now. Has he met their damned mother yet, and if not, why haven't the kids wandered off from boredom? |

And The Da Vinci Code was utter garbage. I couldn't bring myself to read more than one page of Dan Brown's writing; he was that boring and crummy of a writer. The one page I read had the absolute worst simile I have ever read. It took an intrinsically exciting and interesting situation and turned it boring.
Friends wasn't that bad, but it was bad. Ninety percent of the "humor" revolved around the stereotyped characters exhibiting their stereotyped character traits. Joey is a dumb, horny Italian-American actor with negligible acting ability, HA HA HA! In both cases, however, their popularity has no bearing on their craptacularity. |

Left Behind is some shitty stuff. If only they had studied theology beforehand. Twilight I haven't read anything of, and I won't start now. Drake, if you want to take the approval of the masses as a seal of quality, I expect you to go out to McDonald's on the next special occasion, then come home and admire your Thomas Kinkade collection. EDIT: Realized I misspelled Kinkade's last name. Am perversely reassured that Firefox spell-check underlines it now. |
