Default Name My Score
Club championship is this weekend, 2 days 18 holes per day.

I have 3 days to play 2 rounds so I'm not positive which days I will declare. It depends on how my back feels and what the weather looks like.

My USGA handicap is 9.3. USGA rules apply, one off the tee, play the ball down, etc.

Post first round score, second round score, and total.

Winner gets $5000 of our useless message board currency.

A hint, in the month of August at this course my low score was 73 and my high score was 83 playing the ball up.

Name the number of birdies per day as a tiebreaker.

Yes, I am bored.

playing the ball up.
What does up/down mean?

Is the course a par 72?

Playing the ball down means you can't touch it until you get on the green.

When you play it up you can move it, set it up on the grass.

Par 70. Only 2 par fives.

If i was smart I'd ask how the puttings been going, but I'll make my guess now. I went a little high now that I know the difference between up/ down, I figure the down might add a stroke or two to a round.

1st round - 75 w/ 3 birds
2nd round - 79 w/ 4 birds...that one hole was a bitch

Total - 154 w/ 7 birdies

There's a national wildlife refuge near the course called Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge.
There's a large lake in that refuge called Crab Orchard Lake.
There's a town 20 miles or so east called Crab Orchard.

I don't know for sure but I'm guessing crab apple trees.

Roberta.

Roberta is a voluptuous woman, of Italian descent. She does have a hint of a moustache, but also is very well endowed.

Roberta will be fairly restrictive on the first date, where Ryr will end with a 79 and 1 birdie.
Roberta will be more premissive on the second date, where Ryr will see a 76 and 2 birdies.

So total, for the math impaired, is 155. 3 total birds, and some kinky action from Roberta.

82/1 birdie
84/1 birdie

I'm guessing they make the course tough for the club championship.

I find it odd that you can play any two out of three days. I have to assume that they will change tees and pins during the long weekend. Some folks may play a different course for their two rounds.

1st Round 75
2nd Round 72
Total 147
4 Birdies (one on each Par 5 each day).
I am living up to my Optimist Title, but hope I do not jinx you. Good luck.

I saw this in an email I got from an On-Line Golf game I play sometimes. Do you know if your course is participating? It seems like a worthy cause.
Across the nation this Labor Day weekend, thousands of golf courses are charging an extra $1 for tee times in support of Patriot Golf Day, the flagship fundraiser for the Folds of Honor Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides postsecondary educational scholarships for the children and spouses of military men and women disabled or killed while serving our great nation.

First round, 82, no birds.

Second round, 80, 1 bird.

162.

(sorry, I blew up in my league championship, the golf gods are feeling grumpy)

79 today with 2 birdies, all pretty much on guts. I only hit 6 fairways and 2 greens all day. I birdied both of the greens I hit and only had 23 putts. Got up and down from everywhere. I was 7 over on the 5th hole and ended up 9 over.
Hit it in the pond on the short par 3 16th, dropped and hit a wedge to 5 ft. and made the putt for bogey. That was pretty much how it was all day.

It's pouring right now, I can't imagine playing the ball down in these conditions. I'm interested in seeing the scoreboard this morning. We played the earliest round, others ended up playing in the rain. We only had rain for 1-2 holes. My 79 might not be in too bad of shape.

You are the frontrunner. I hope to match your round 2 prediction as well, I would be happy with that score.
