I had a Taylor Made R7 that was at least 20 months old and I cracked the face. My pro and I both agreed that it was probably past any warranty, but he asked anyway. They said, send it in and they will replace the head for nothing. They realized that they did not have all the replacement components for the club (why would they...it's two gnerations ago), and they asked if I would take a new Burner head instead. Why not? I had it back from Taylor Made in less than a week and I am hitting it straight and longer. Not long, never had that, but longer. Nice deal.
I've been demoing other drivers and I haven't found anything that I hit like a Taylor Made. Maybe it's in my head. I've been in the market for irons and while I've always been a Titleist guy with irons, the new Burner irons with the light steel shafts appear to be leading the pack right now. Higher and half a club longer. |

A buddy of mine bought an R7 on ebay for $75. Then he loaned it to someone to play a scramble and when they gave it back the top of the head was split. They had to have bashed it against something. He got a new burner from Taylormade for it.
Another buddy is threatening to buy a new R9. I wish he'd hurry up and do it so I can hit it. |

Taylor Made (imo) are the best drivers, I've hit them all (well not all) from Pings, to Calloways, Cobras etc. . and Titleist (which I use to hit) but by far the Taylor Made Burner which I currently hit is the best . . . I have yet to hit the new driver R9 only b/c of the price tag, why waste time hitting it when I know unless I hit the lotto I'm not going to buy.

Here's a good source for Taylormade stuff, slightly used or demo.
