Hit balls yesterday for the first time in over a month, only the second time this calendar year. Just played four holes, hitting two balls. Results didn't matter; just felt good to have a club in my hand.
Woke up to more snow on the ground this morning. This winter has been a bust weather wise in the Philly area. Not a lot of snow, but well below my playing temp most of the time.

Nice day out there today, with no wind. Probably give it a go around 1:30.

Rained this morning, turned to snow, covered the ground, and now it's gone and the sun's out.

I'm taking the weekend off.

Got tickets for tomorrow's final round of the ACE Group Classic here in Naples at Treviso Bay. Should be fun!

Went skiing today and will probably play golf tomorrow. I want to make sure I spend over $100 (before food, gas and drink) on my activities this weekend. Just trying to stimulate the economy.

I played nine holes this afternoon. It was beautiful out, around 45 degrees and no wind. My game is duck-hooked mess, but I drove it good.
The pro lent me a Titleist 909D3 driver and I banged it pretty solid. Great carry with a 9.5 loft. I may have to make an investment in my game.

Cool, a new member to our small little gathering. Living in Maryland I'm usually able to play year round, we get a fair amount of snow but it isn't like in the north where it lasts 4 months, it generally melts within a week or so. But even though we haven't had a lot of snow this year has been cold and I haven't played since December.

But that changes today!!!!!!

I'm dying, it's been at least 2 weeks since I've played. Probably 3.

Yeah normally I'd be worried that a new poster who feels ignored would get their feelings hurt. But nicole is a Bruins fan so obviously she has no feelings. Or a soul for that matter.

81 today out of the mud on a course I play about once every 2 years, I'm not unhappy. If I hadn't have shanked that wedge out of bounds on 10 I would have broken into the 70's.

My first hole of the year went like this: Pull hooked a drive into huge wind that found the left hazard. Took a drop, then pulled a 6 iron to another shaggy spot left of the green. Went right to the ball to find it while waiting for my cart partner, laying the 6 iron down to mark it. Proceeded to leave the 6 iron there, discovering this on the following hole. Went back to the spot and it was not there. Now of course my group is behind because I am an idiot. On the way back I ask the guys 2 groups behind us and sure enough they had it. Never occurred to me to ask, I figured what were the chances of someone in the 2 groups behind even venturing into the area where I had hit?

What a clown I was.
