I've been on a two and a half week hiatus. I'll be heading out either Saturday or Sunday. Could be ugly. And sorry about the little sidebar with ryr. I don't start a lot of threads here and breaking out of this slump was a huge deal to me. To have him come in and piss on my parade with "blah...blah...blah" and then to immediately turn it around and start bragging about his game struck a nerve. Hope you all can understand that. |

What's up kobe, good to see you again. Glad to see you are going back out. Thank for the props, I had a 79 on Wed night so it's now official. For starters, 81 is not a good score. That should have been a clue. I seem to remember you poking fun at kobe in another golf thread. I guess that's just fine, but don't joke around about old DGF. He's got feelings and all that. |

I've also got a nerve and you're right on top of it. I told you I was just fucking with you but that's not good enough. Here almost a week later, I haven't responded to a post of yours or posted anything, yet you feel the need to bring my name up again. Well how about you just go get fucked? Have a kleenex. Instead your entire position continues to be "I was just fucking with you" as if that somehow makes everything ok. If you were black and I called you the N word would that defense work? Newsflash: Nobody has the right to tell a person when he/she should be offended, that is a personal choice. And trust me, I can take a joke as has been proven over the years. Your problem is you somehow feel that you own the right to dictate how others should feel. |

Oh for crying out loud I was simply trying to explain myself. Let me clue you in: If you are fucking with someone and they didn't like it the normal reaction I would think would be to back the fuck off. If I saw that Kobe was pissed off by my remarks that is what I would have done. In fact I would have apologized. Same thing if it had been you. Your strawman is in search of a brain. |

You respect us? Well that was your first mistake. I'm sorry if I made everyone uncomfortable but you gotta admit it made for interesting reading. I'm not real good at biting my tongue when I've got something to say and I never will be, I'll admit that. And although I really didn't mean to start this whole thing up again I can see why ryr felt that I did and I'm sorry about that.
OK everyone that has been staring at the floor in an awkward silence can come back now. |

84 today, just when I thought my game was back. Luckily it didn't cost me any money. Left several putts short. 18 handicapper shot 81 so we were happy for him, and we will be checking his scores on the handicap website. We had 6 show up and played 6 without asking. Finished way ahead of the foursome behind us, 4 hours later.
I took an old driver with me today and busted it on the first hole. 80 yards left to the pin. Of course I had decided I don't need my lob wedge and replaced it with my old heavenwood that I got back from my son. Tried to finesse a sand wedge and put it in the bunker. The bunker had been heavily watered. It took me 3 to get out. Club just kept skimming off of the sand and hitting the ball into the face. I was ready to go home but I birdied the 2nd hole and it got me in a better mood. Just pretty much slapped it around today, but no shanks. No double hits. It was damn hot. |

I had the same experience. I guess it was only a matter of time. But this one really sucked because I was staying at a friend's beach house and played a really good really hard course I hadn't played in years and was really looking forward to it. Had a "bad 43" on the front, then tripled #11, then the storm came in. I swear on the par 3 12th it was raining by the green but not at the tee box. Was playing through a group and when I couldn't hit the green from 120 yards (3rd shot on a par 4) I had had enough and went back to the beach house.

82 today. Used my 3 wood and it was long and straight. Missed a 6 foot birdie on one. Made an 8 footer on 2. Almost chipped in then missed a 3 footer on 3. Parred 4. Then it went to hell. At least it didn't cost me money because the 4 in the group shot 83. |

I've had the worst time. From April '07 through April of '08 I played probably 100 rounds without shooting over 90. But just like when a no-hitter is broken up once the streak ended that's where I stayed. It was horrible, pulling wedges into hazards, pushing every iron, and shooting between 87-93 each and every round. For months.
But after trying a grip change and then a ball position change with nothing to show for it I finally said screw it, I'm going back to the way I used to play. And after a bunch of "good 85s" etc I finally put up a low number today, shooting a 78 which was incredible considering I had 2 (count them 2) four putts. That should tell you how well I was hitting it. You have no idea how relieved I am right now. |
