OK, I'm lloking to buy one new club this year for $250 or less.
My options are a new driver or a new 7 wood. I have a driver right now that I've owned for 11 years, but I literally cannot hit it. I hit my 3 wood about 240, but cannot hit this driver more than 175. The flex is just off, or something. My other option is a 7 wood. I haven't hit a solid 3 or 4 iron off the thee all year. So, if the hole is shorter than 220 (5 wood) or longer than 180 (5i), I'm hosed. I have to choose long, short, or shank. So, which club should I buy? I was looking at the Calloway 460x. I don't want a big ugly driver. I am VERY comfortable teeing off with a 3W right now and would like something only a little bigger and providing more distance. I don't have anything in mind for 7W. |
