swing a 9 iron and wedge together....
I do that to warm up, but it really doesn't do much for you in actually strengthening your swing, just loosens ya up a little.

sure it does, you're just swinging to loosen up though. Swing as it was your normal swing....and do that repeteatedly

i have a momentus. love it. it is crucial when just jumping right on the tee. although after swinging it a few times, it is necessary to swing the club of choice about 5 or 6 times to get re-adjusted to the weight. i find it gets my swing in the right slot as well and when i am not playing that well, i bust that thing out on the course and swing it a few times to try and find the correct slot again. i love it for sure.

yea, but the I had assumed he had used one of his buddy's and liked it. Nope. Turns out he saw the commercial and thought it was really cool and wanted me to find him a used one since they retail for a pretty high price. Now he don't want it.

And they always complain about kids bitching about not liking their presents.

Next year go with the #1 Dad coffee mug.

I called him last night to make fun of him for wanting it because of the commercial, but my mom answered his phone and told me he fell off his bike. I couldnt stop laughing.

He was finishing up a 10 mile ride and wanted to cut through a field next to the house. He thought the hill he was going to take was not as steep as it actually was and went right over the handlebars. I could hear him in the background yelling at the dog to stop licking him, but he can't move his shoulder to push the dog away. Hilarious, but I feel bad for laughing at him now.

Default Speed Stick or Momentus
My dad wants me to find him one so he can retrain his muscle memory and get back into golfing shape (insert golfing shape joke here).

I am a reliable person and still owe him a Christmas present since I never ordered that fly fishing line he wanted back in Decemeber. Now that the lake has been drained, I think this would make for a good replacement gift.

Anyone use one or have one laying around they don't use that I can possibly purchase from you for a good price?

After looking at momentus on e-bay I realize I don't have one. What I have is a Medicus, the club that's hinged in the middle and you have to swing it perfectly or the hinge breaks down.

There are some good deals for momentus on e-bay:

yea i am currently bidding on a Speed Stik (point06, so no one from here better outbid me!) on there that ends in 4 hrs, but i am sure I will be outbid. I didn't realize they were so expensive, but oh well, I will do what I can.

I told my dad just put a grip on a lead pipe and weight the end a little more. He didn't like that idea

I drilled out an old large headed persimmon driver and filled it with lead for a weighted club to work with.

thats what I would do, and I am surprised he isnt doing something like that. He has plenty of old drivers laying around and i think they even make weights you can put on the end of irons. Oh well, he wants it, I will get it somehow.

The momentus has a training grip on it I think to ensure "proper" hand placement.
Proper according to the manufacturer.

won me a 19 oz speed stick, that should work for a little while. It is graded for golfers weighing up to 175 lb, and pops is a little bit over that. Maybe that can add to his incentive to get his weight down. The other one they had was 24 oz, so I doubt 5 more ounces will mack a huge difference.
