So I've got about $93 in pro shot credit after my travails this summer. Not good, but better than a kick in the Titleists.

They tell us we can't use it on anything but goods in the shop, unlike years previous. Before we could use it on rounds, carts, range balls, etc.

So what do we have? Shirts for $80-90, shoes from $100, etc.

Discussing this with one of my team buddies, he suggests buying a club, "How 'bout a lob wedge, since you don't carry one?"

Great idea, since I'm typically 40-50 yards out on par fives on the course I play on. Good call.

Price for an individual club? About $110. (I paid about $270 for my entire bag of sticks about 10 years ago. Components, but well made.)

Sticker shock. People pay way too much to play this game.
