Tiger to win ANOTHER Major

Guy is lights out.

Unreal.

5 stroke lead and they are running out of holes

aideriimibion 08-20-2006 11:44 PM

They are on 18 now....

12 Majors...

SaamanthaSterlyng 08-20-2006 11:47 PM

And he only used his driver a few times on this course?

Pulls out the 5 wood on a couple of driving holes? Unreal talent.

I've never been a bandwagoner, cripes I'm a lifelong Vikes fan.

But I got no problem being a big fan of Tiger.

He is just so much better then the NEXT best player.

No sport is dominated by one man like golf by Tiger.

Kubasarika 08-20-2006 11:52 PM

Big lead, final hole, he finds time to swear and walk away from a putt twice because someone in the crowd moved.

You're talking current player?

If you're not, you need to hear about this guy named Gretzky.

I love how they said his caddy would start taking names if it happened again. His caddy is a big guy.

I find it amazing that those announcers watch him in every tournament and he still amazes them.

Focus, focus, focus. It ain't over 'till the final putt drops in. I think that's part of why Tiger got to where he is. Total focus for competitive rounds.

That's my take on it anyway.

Golf at the core is a contest with yourself and only yourself. So just because he's 5 up on 18 does that mean he should have any less focus on shots? No, because at the end of the day Tiger is in competition with himself and his own records...your hatred for the way the announcers nuthug is fine, but at the end of the day those people should give him some respect the same way they would give Jeff Sluman.

On a side note, I left when the final pairing got to 15...crowd was boring, golf was boring, it just felt dead. Dimarco was fun to watch for a while, but overall this was probably the worst golf tourney I have ever been to.

I really don't like golf, but it appears that Tiger is more focused these days after his long layoff and implosion at the U.S. Open following his dad's passing.

He's on a roll, and it might last for awhile.

He has been re-focused since his Father passed.
