Default Golfing in Flip Flops
I advise against it, after doing it on Saturday. Skinned the crap out of my ankle on a door couldn't wear shoes...felt like a 90 year old man, only swinging with arms, hitting short drives...man I don't want to get old!

If you're out in flip flops... take them off before hitting and hit barefoot.

That would certainly feel good on the toes.

Our 65 tear old member of our foursome showed up in golfing sandles the past 2 times because his ankle was swelled and he couldn't get his golf shoes on. He had a hip replacement and his good leg taking the weight all this time has caused swelling.

I swore I'd never play golf with anyone wearing those faggot things, but I gave him an exemption. I told him to get rid of the swelling and lose the sandals quick.

Interesting. I think Jim MacMahon used to golf barefoot.

I know what it's like to golf as a 90-year-old man, Puke. I played yesterday after roofing for three days. 10 strokes over my handicap.

No smartass comments please, Ryr.

No smartass remarks from me, I hire my roofing done for the most part now, That and concrete. I want no part of either.

I have no excuse for my mid 80's rounds this weekend except for lack of a short game. I'm thinking about hitting 3 iron off of every tee so I have at least a full pitching wedge shot on every hole. Any club shorter than that, or god forbid a half-sand wedge shot, I'm screwed. Then if I have to chip with anything shorter than a 9 iron it's blade, then off the green on the other side.

Very damn frustrating.

Day one, yes. Day two, no. Day 3 yes, with pants because he'd come up with an elastic bandage to hold the swelling down.

Day 3, Sunday, he also took some vicodin at the turn to relieve his pain. He's goofy anyway, that made him almost intolerably goofy. Then Crown in the clubhouse. I guess he's still alive, nothing in the paper about him.

Not sure what the big deal is with golfing anyway...golf shoes or sandles, as long as you can walking to the drink cart.

Because I only get 2 days off a week and I'm not going to spend them with Birkenstock wearing hippies.

Ok, I don't golf anyway....figure I have something better to do with my days off then to over pay some uppity establishment that can grow grass and dig holes to chase a ball that isn't going to go where I want it to go no matter how I try.

In all honesty, I do enjoy getting out and giving it a wurl but never had the time while in the army and really don't feel like getting involved at this time....especially seeing the prices and reading the Ebay post on the amount he paid for a club.

True sport, wild cat shooting...while restricted to the back porch with beer.
