i am so disappointed in your response. i wanted to laugh and you made a simple answer. nothing sarcastic about it. go back to bed and wake up in a couple hours when you are feeling better.

So, eveyone will take Phil against the field, huh!

I wonder if the vegas odds are even money on that one.

Mickelson is imploding. He needs to get up and down for bogey out of the 18th bunker to get into a playoff at +5.

Out of the bunker, across the green into the rough. Now he has to chip it in to get into a playoff.

The Australian wins, poor judgment by Phil.

You know, I believe he didn't want a playoff, but he could have won this with a par!

Had he hit a "safer" shot more towards the fairway for his second shot, v. trying to hit a high cut over the trees, he could have left himself a wedge shot to a hole that had a funnel effect. Phil was on with his wedges all day.

I understand that's why he hit his third shot (8 iron over the trees into the bunker) that way, because he needed to get that on the green, but it didn't make sense to hit that risky of a shot for his 2nd shot.

True, don't disagree for a minute.

Let me say this, worst piece of course management I have ever seen by a *power* pro.

Both caddies should be ashamed of themselves for not breaking the driver prior to that 18th holes. That was the biggest mistake, especially the way Phil was driving all day. The caddie should have just said no way to him, and refused to give it to him. Just a safe shot down the middle of the fairway and the match is his. No need for all the macho cr*p at that point.

The other golfers were willing to give it to him, but his pride got the best of him I think. He wanted to 'win' it, not just have it given to him. Duh!
