Default Hey michelle
Why don't you win something on the women's tour first?

I've got a big problem with this. Not because I don't feel women deserve the chance to play with men. In fact, if they can, go right ahead.

But, there's other things that have to be looked at:

  1. It's called the Men's PGA Tour for a reason. Men play on it. If women play on it, it wouldn't be the Men's PGA Tour anymore.
  2. If a woman wants to join the Men's tour because she feels she can compete, why can't a man join the Women's tour? I can only imagine the uproar that would cause.

Seriously, if they want to compete against each other, the two Tours should get together and host a couple of tourneys in which both genders may compete.

Actually, it's not called the Men's PGA Tour.

It's just called the PGA Tour.

Men can't join the LPGA Tour because their rulebook has rules against it.
The PGA Tour rulebook does not have any gender specific rules.

I have ABSOLUTELY no problem with someone like Annika dominating on the women's tour and wanting to test her skills with the men.

I have a huge problem with someone who hasn't won shit on the women's tour (let alone dominating) trying to compete with men.

Well everytime they talk about it on TV, they refer to it as the "Mens PGA Tour".

In that case, the PGA Tour should make a rule, or get the LPGA to open up to men.

Either way, I think its unfair that it can only go one way.

I'm not sure if it's a publicity stunt, or about money, or if its really just about showing they can keep up with the guys. But I don't think the tours should be mixed. Like I said, create a couple of special tourneys or something like that.

I don't think they need special tourneys, just do like annika did at a smaller tourney. But she also dominated women's golf.

Wie on the other hand, hasn't won shit with the women, why should she be taking a male players spot who's relying on it to make a living.
Right! She should be at home learning how to cook!

It's about the attention and marketing deals.

Nobody cares about the LPGA. But a woman on the PGA is a spectacle, so she'll get shown on TV more, and therefore her sponsors will get their get shown.

They may refer to it as the men's tour, because everyone who's earned their card is male.

As far as making rules, the PGA has no sway over the LPGA, and can't dictate terms to them. They also don't seem to really have a problem with the way the rules are now, so I don't see a change happening anytime soon.

As far as getting upset at a women who hasn't won anything yet getting an exemption to play a PGA event, where's the outrage for exemptions for people like Bill Murray who occasionally get sponser exemptions?

If they ask her to play, and she wants to play, I have no problem with her playing. I'm not sure why people get mad at her for accepting invitations.

That was one hell of a reach, my vocabularian friend. But, I digress.

Those are celebrity things. Different.

All i'm saying is there's a tour out there for her, which she hasn't done shit on either.

Isn't she a celebrity in her own right?

And what about suits from the sponsors themselves?

She's not taking anyone's spot, those exemptions aren't going to be given to an otherwise not invited pro golfer.

Again, why act like it's her fault she's invited to these events?

I think you're just jealous that she gets to go out there and do these events and you can't.

A little bit. And these aren't sponsor exemptions she's doing now, she's tryin to qualify.

I'm jealous that she can sit down when she pees....I'm tired in the morning and have to lean on the wall most times...Crucial waste of energy with little reserves in the tank....

Life just ain't fair.

Dude, if my breasts were as big as hers i wouldn't even be on the internet. I'd just sit at home and play with them.

I can hit a ball farther than her. she can kiss my ass.
