Default Taylor Made R7 Quad
A friend of mine bought one of these and I hit it about a month ago. Cleared the dogleg on the toughest hole on our course and had 100 yards in where I usually have 175.

I had to have one after that. I bought one from Rock Bottom Golf, it arrived last week but the torrential rains kept us from playing. It's warm here today so I took it out and aimed it across the bean field at the pond, away from the horse. Hit 3 old wore out shag balls. This was into the wind.

First shot was perfect. Long, high, slight draw.
Second shot I caught high off the toe, it went right but no noticeable slice.
Third shot felt good but I didn't pick it up. My granddaughter said it went the same place as the first one except farther, it flew the trees at the pond where the first one hit one of the trees.

It's the one with the adjustment weights and the special wrench, I set it up for a slight draw. I can't wait until this weekend. I wish I could take off of work tomorrow.

I love golf. I plan on doing a lot of golfing this summer. The driving range is also one of the best ways to get some anger out.

meh, i'm not a fan of those. Hit my bosses the other day on the course and I can still hit my Cleveland Launcher farther. It's a good club if you have a grandpa swing and you have lost distance because of old age but other than that, i don't find it to be worth the money. I still hit my driver 300+ regularly so i guess that is another reason why i don't need it. Perhaps after this season I will look into a different brand, but the chances are that I will stay with the cleveland and buy a new one. Perhaps a 460.

I see a lot of guys hit their driver 300+

on the internet.

If I hit it over 250 I'm damn happy.

You started it with the grandpa swing reference, tough guy.

I hear and read a lot about people hitting it 300. There's a pond 300 yards from the tee on a hole I play every weekend. I generally hit 3 wood there to get to 100 yards from the green and play it safe. I have hit the 3 wood past the left of the pond 40 yards from the green twice before. That doesn't mean I do it regularly.

The only guy I've played with that hit it 300 regularly and kept it in play used to play on the hooters tour and is a hell of a golfer.

Everyone's a 4-5 handicap on the internet with a 300 yard drive.

I'm at about 280, but if I could trade 40 yards off that for the ability to putt well, I'd do it in a split second.

just fucking with you. Let me reitterate.

I regularly have rounds where i hit it 300+ 4-5 holes a round. Some rounds, my driver is absolutely on point and i can do it 8-10 times, others, i struggle and it's 1-2 times. on average it's prolly 4-5. especially this year.

I have worked out real hard for quite sometime and i have really made an effort to stretch everyday and throughout the day. it's amazing what that can do for your golf game when you can generate more whip through the ball because you can lengthen your swing a little creating a bigger arc and staying on balance at the same time. sounds funny, but it's true.

It was one of those things that I didn't even think about when i began. I started working out to fight off certain health problems later in my life that are common with the males in my family and by chance, it has helped my golf game quite a bit. playing the best golf of my life this year.

that and the fact that living in Virginia allows you to start earlier due to the fabulous weather.

After yesterday I guess my bullshit alert sensors are on high. This cat with a ponytail came up behind us and asked if he could join us on 10. We had a money game and didn't want him to but to be nice we said yes. He hacked around and we left him.
He caught up with us on our second shots on 11 after he had hit his tee shot way out of bounds and then hit his next shot from out of bounds.

12 he hits it out of bounds again, we tell him to hit again off the tee, you can't go hitting balls out of people's yards and you don't get your distance. I explain the different colored stakes to him. He hacks and hacks. Has a Large Marge driver (Big Bertha clone) and some old Wilson irons.

Then he starts telling us about how he usually hits it 270 and was a single digit handicap when he lived in Florida and played every day but since he couldn't play but twice a week now he wasn't playing so good.

You should have seen this guy swing. Plus he acted like he was scared to hit the ball, his preshot routine had all the signs of a beginner. It took forever.

I don't take practice swings, don't want to waste the good ones... plus, I'm going to be swinging enough just to finish the round, no need doubling that on practice swings.

I bought this last year with the Aldila NV shaft set up...It's a pretty deep club and the ability to swap out the weights really allow you to set it up with the course condition. I did find though that I left it at the same setting for most of the year. The thing you'll learn about it is just make sure you hit it square v. trying to kill it, it'll go a mile if you hit it square.

Hmm, i've taken plenty of terrible practice swings... like *swing* "yea, that one's not going to work" *swing again* "felt good, let's go"

mine always seemed to go the oposite. Feel great before I addressed the ball, then thud or wiff. So now I just say fuck it.
