[GOLF] Buick to drop sponsorship of Hartford tournament
 

HARTFORD, Conn. -- Buick will not sponsor the Hartford area's annual PGA Tour event after this year, tournament officials announced Friday.The tournament, which had been known as the Greater Hartford Open before becoming the Buick Championship in 2004, also will move to a new date in the fall beginning in 2007, remaining on the PGA Tour.The dates for the tour's fall schedule will be announced in four to six weeks.Tournament committee members said they were surprised by the decision and worried...
