Sweet sweet sweet

The course that I'm applying to is one of the nicest in the area, about 125 for a round (its semi-private) and 25 grand for a membership.

Talk to the pro and see if you can put a tip jar in the lockeroom with a note that says "tips appreciated". They didnt mind it when I did it.

Good idea

I'm going to apply either tomorrow or Tuesday.

I'm tired of my job that I have right now, and I don't get hours during the school year, except for on the weekends (6-12) and I really want a day to sleep in during the school year. Plus, the club is going thru some ownership changes and I heard the new owners are lowering pay, and I really don't want to be doing manual labor for 6.50 an hour, so I'm moving to a better course, less work, more money, and a better course to play for free.

Its pretty self-explanatory. I did it for 4 years at a CC in grade school. What you just typed is what you get.
So you clean up the locker room and wash shoes?

Default Hey Golfers
I'm switching jobs, and am going to apply at a different course, and this is one of the jobs I was offered

Locker Room Attendant - Responsible for great guest service including, cleanliness of locker facilities, care of guest/members shoes, and ensuring an overall comfortable environment for all of our golf guests and members.

Anyone know exactly what this person does?

It wasnt a full cleaning of the locker room. Just keeping it tidy throughout the day. After their round was over if spikes needed to be replaced I would do that and spray off the bottom of the shoes.

I've decided to leave my job doing bag drop and do grounds crew at Fieldstone CC in Greenville

The new pro they got is really good at golf, but he's a horrendus supervisor. I worked for him a few times during the week during school, and didn't finish till 10:30-11 PM a few times. He gives us too many tasks and it's impossible to complete them with a crew of our size. The one guy I was good friends with left last week for the same reason and it kind of sealed the deal for me.

Bag Drop Blows!

BTW..since you asked: When I'm at a club I give the dude $6 bones to spiff up the shoes and replace the spikes, my girl's dad (who belongs) only goes with a 3 spot...so average I would guess is in the 3 range (always feel bad for those guys because I used to depend on tips)

Where? .....statewise I mean, what city would be even better, you don't have to give the course. I was just trying to figure out what the weather would be like were you are?

In any case: have fun, be polite and you'll get plenty of tips, tons of them. BTW I use to park cars on 'Little Santa Monica" just north of Rodeo Drive and I would make (mind you this is 1978) $300 (on avg) a week just in tips and that after sharing it w/ about 8 to 10 other parking lot attendants.
