Default Finally some progress
77 today with 2 birdies. I was in 3 different games, team game made $9, pro am points made $18, 13 man greenie game made $9, 13 man skin game made $15. I didn't come home with most of it after the bar bill.

I had two 3 putts and still wasn't chipping very good, but I see progress in my short game. Even with the 3 putts I only had 25 total putts, I usually putt well anyway.

I putt my 7 wood away since I hardly use it and put the 60 degree wedge back in. I used it on 3 approach shots so it was a good move. I'm going to keep it in there.
Now I have a driver and 3 wood, 3-9 irons, and 48, 52, 56, and 60 degree wedges. I'm staying with that setup and am actually going to try to find time to work on my short game since work has finally slowed down.

That's roughly the set up I have. Driver and 15 degree. Irons 2-pw, and 50, 54 and 58. If you count clubs... during tourneys i generally take out my 2 or 3 iron.

I have a scramble next Monday and a lesson the following day. I have to play my match play 2nd round match before the 29th. I'm going to put it off until after the lesson if I can so I can work on my game some more.

I absolutely despise the guy who I would play in the 3rd round if I win in the 2nd round. He's a loudmouth sandbagger, shouldn't even be in B flight, so I'll have my hands full if I get there.

I must prevail and cause him to eat shit.

Scrambles are fun sometimes, allow you to hit generally pressure free shots (or if your team's not playing well and you're hitting last - intense pressure shots)

I have a 10 degree driver and a 16 degree 3 wood I'm using now. In a scramble I'll put my 13 degree 3 wood in there in place of the other one and add my 7 wood since no one counts clubs.

I used to put my ilegal ERC driver in since everyone else had them at these scrambles but I've found that my last 3 drivers hit the ball just as far. Titleist 983E, R7 quad 400 and Callaway X460.

So much for the R&A and the USGA testing procedures.

I'm playing with my uncle, my son, and a customer. Customer is scratch. I'll be devoid of pressure.

Miller Lite would see to that anyway.

You read my story of the scramble i played in tuesday? Eagled the first hole by myself, won closest to the pin 2 holes later.

Scratch golfers are fun to play with in scrambles. I had my dad who's played 3 times in the last 3 years, another guy who plays 4 times a year, me and this 18 year old who should've been the best because he works at a golf course (and we ended up probably taking the least of his shots). Every hole we had 3 shitty shots and 1 awesome shot. It was the weirdest thing. We ended up 9 under, somehow.

I think we debated all of 1 time which shot to take... it was the weirdest thing. At least we avoided team drama where one guy likes one shot and the other likes another.

I did that earlier this summer on a par 4. My friend who invited me said "I think we should just write down 3 because nobody's going to believe this shit about you making a putt for 2."

It sure is fun when it happens which isn't very often.
