Default The British Open
Well, bright and early this morning, as I was getting ready for my glorious court appearance, I got to catch some of the British Open.

I'm not sure how I feel about it. In one aspect, its a Major...but it's still British. It always looks drab and the fairways are always brown.

And it's British

anyway...I figured I would start the thread and maybe get some feedback. I have heard some say this is their favorite of the Majors. It IS at the Old Course at St. Andrews...

its still British

anyway....some guy named Woods has the early lead at 6 under

It's a Major, with some pretty major memories and moments, and it does happen to be British.

I get sucked into it at some point.

Waiting for somebody to really struggle out of a pot bunker is sort of like a Nascar crash or a hockey fight, I guess.

Jim Furyk...showing exactly what you DONT want to do here.

Hit your shot in to the bunker. Hit your next shot to the other side of the bunker. Pitch backwards to get out of the bunker and back in to the fairway.

I suppose there are some entertaining moments

Masters (and some years TPC)
TPC (and some years masters)
U.S. Open

nah man, that's yellow.

i like this tourney because it is such a different type of golf. some of these putts that these guys are faced with are insane. multiple 125 ft quadruple breaking putts are fun.

The ABC graphics, in deep green, seem a bit hilarious.

Tiger hasnt been able to put the clamp down and he's sure tightening up a fantastic looking leaderboard.

Good though, I'd like something to watch tomorrow

To have TWO unplayables on the front and shoot even is pretty impressive.

I wish I could play poorly and have 8 eagle putts in less than 3 rounds.

As it is now, I have to play mediocre for that.
