No big deal, but the way I've been playing it felt pretty good. 3 birdies, which got erased by a triple bogey. One on a par 5 that I reached in 2 and 2 putted, one on a par 3, and one on a par 4.
I left the driver in the bag on the dogleg 17 and hit the 3 wood for position, and blew through the fairway into the next fairway, still made par
I had duck hooked my driver into the pond on 18 about 4 weeks in a row, so I hit 3 wood. The card says 330 yards, I had 50 left, made par.

Driver may get lonely tomorrow.

Also, I only hit my sand wedge once, 2nd hole when I had 70 yards in for my 2nd shot. Bladed it over the green and then 3 putted for a 6.

It may get to keep the driver company.

An 83 with a triple.

Must have been some special "other" moments ... nice round there.

There was a time when under 85 meant I was playing pretty well (for me).

Now I dunno. 3.50 pitchers is a win.

84 today, no birdies. Didn't use the driver hardly at all, didn't matter, 3 wood started letting me down.

my driver pisses me off sometimes. I will come out, stripe it 300 down the middle on the first hole and then go 7 holes without connecting on it. Times when i am all world with it and times where it takes a vacation. Good thing i love my 3W, but i have the hardest time pulling it out because i love to just rip 300 yard drives with my driver. That's the mental side of the game that makes this shit so difficult.

My best score on 9 is two under, but my best on 18 is two over... i just can't seem to get it together for a whole round and shoot even, i always fuck up somewhere along the line

You guys ever done this...

one round a year ago i shoot 75. With a triple bogey because i go out of bounds. That has to be the most frustrating thing. Especially when that triple bogey is on one of those holes that i regularly own. That wide open 500 yard par 5, that i regularly get on in two with a driver and a 5 iron... with out-of-bounds way left but not really in play... yet somehow while i've been straight shooting everything, i pull it to the out of bounds.

It's like, any other round, if i par that hole it's basically like a bogey.

Guess that type of thing is why i'm so addicted to golf. Because you always know you could've done better. I bet when guys shoot a 59, they still think to themselves "i could've saved a shot here or there"

Well I wish I was even near the 80s myself. My lowest round thus far in my young golf career is a 112. Not too fucking good. But man I am addicted as all hell to it.
