What is the famous quote? "I'd rather run it (the ball) 4 feet past the hole, than leaving it sit on the edge?"
I usually did run it past the whole by a few feet, but the ball was hitting the lip on most putts.

I played one of my best rounds of the year on Friday. My short game, which had sucked for the better part of a month, was decent, which was fine with me. I was consistent off the tee for the first time all year.

If my putts were falling instead of going over the edge of the cup, I would have had one of my better rounds ever.

Oh yeah, I'll keep going back. I'm in serious need of practice but home improvement is keeping me from it.

Swinging a hammer in no way helps your golf swing, does it? LOL Of course, if you have a nail gun it really doesn't help your golf swing.

After this weekend I think that best describes my game right now. Got the chipping yips, my putting sucks, driver goes a mile straight one hole, then no one knows the next hole.

The only bright spot was that I beat the Gordon fan out of the 5 dollars he won from me because of last week's race.

And, yet ryr, you will keep going back for more and more lessons in humility and patience. Why? 'Cause the 3 or 4 good shots you may hit make all the other crappy ones you hit, worth it.

Believe me, I know.
