Default Call me a bad tiger fan...
I like tiger, i think he's a good guy, and i like to see him win.

But man, I was pulling for DiMarco like it was my job. I really thought that chip shot on 18 was going to go in.... both of 'em actually.

Considering the circumstances of tigers shot on 16, the difficulty of the chip, etc. that ranks right up there with the best shots in the masters history, no doubt. to make it even better it looked as if it would stop right before the cup.

I dont care to much for Woods. I think he's a crybaby. He did his usual chest puffing and walking like a badass the other day when someone said something in his backswing. If he cant handle the pressure he shouldnt be playing the game.

Plenty of emotional tugs for DiMarco ... I wouldn't have minded at all if he had pulled it out.

But I was happy to see Tiger win another Major and another Green Jacket. Watching Tiger is watching golf history unfold, whether you like him or not.

And I think he gets a little flustered too easily, too. Although that's a competitive flaw. You should have seen Norman, or Davis Love or Monty (and others) in some off-camera reactions to unruly distracting crowd behavior ... Tiger gets a lot of the focus because he gets a lot of the focus.

With the play of Vijay and Phil the past two years, and the emergence of blue-collar type guys like DiMarco ... this should shape up as a very high quality few years of golf coming up.

That's why i don't mind seeing tiger win, I want to see him break the records (for majors, etc.). But I'm also an underdog guy. I love to watch the underdog come out and keep fighting until the end.

I dont mind seeing him win either. I just wish he would stop with the badass routine everytime someone makes a noise in his swing. Its called pressure and every athelete deals with it better them him.

Maybe I just think its funny seeing a guy his size try to pull off a tough guy act.

If you've been to golf tournaments you'd realize most to all golfers do the same thing. I was at the buick open a little while back and pat bates (who freakin sucks on a side note) did it as well. when i play with my playing partners, i get annoyed if there is noise in the middle of the backswing. you can dislike tiger for a lot of things, but disliking him for something that most people do makes no sense to me.

I don't mind seeing him win either, though I am a Mickelson fan. I watch golf to watch those guys make the great shots that I will never be able to make myself. What I don't like about Tiger is his immaturity. Cussing, throwing clubs, and kicking his bag are childish and look very demeaning. I know, just about everyone cusses on the course, heck I do, but throwing your clubs and acting like a 12 year old is going too far.

When someone talks in my backswing I give them a swift kick in the nuts.

I, then, challenge them to a game of roshambo.

Like I said in the Masters thread,

I root against any athlete that the media has decided that they need to routinely fellate.

Gordon
Bonds
Tiger
Jeter
Duke
UNC

Yeah, I find it difficult to root for those guys as well. But, I suppose they do fellate Mr. Favre just a bit and he's my favorite athlete regardless of sport. I don't dislike Tiger, I just don't like his childish demeanor when everything isn't going his way. AND, the fact that he got sooooo many horrible golfers interested in playing and slowing the courses down for the rest of us.

He also got several golfers playing those godawful rock hard Nike balls. And the inferior Nike clubs.

That's all I find when I go into the woods to relieve myself anymore, Nike golf balls.

the media will generally flock to the best...hate what you want, but you are hating them because they are good? for instance the media loved jordan...why does that make anyone like him any less? if he's good (tiger and most others on that list) that's what people want to see. or would you rather them show the 10th guy on the bench that nobody wants to see?

i have never understood that...

Well, when Tiger's 10 shots back I'd like to see the leaders.

I don't want my baseball game cut into because Barroid is having an at bat.

If Gordon's running 22nd and falling back and my guy is moving up, I'd like to see my guy.

If Jeter makes a good defensive play I'd love to see it, instead of the routine plays that the media says are amazing.

Duke and UNC just have to bite me, along with Billy Packer (actually Packer can run his nose up the crack of my ass)

Depends on the sport. In golf, yes, I'd like to see some variety of players instead of watching Tigers entire round. And I don't hate him or the others, I just don't think they should kiss their asses so much. In basketball, football, baseball, yes, I want to see the best players. In golf, I want to see the players that are playing well. Even if Tiger isn't in contention, all of the focus is still on him. And he really hasn't been a consistent player for the last 3 years, yet they still can't kiss his ass enough.

along with Billy Packer AMEN, he is the most annoying non-objective worthless bastards that ever did commentary on a college basketball game. Absolutely the WORST ever.

He lost any favor with me back when he'd try to out-comment the Coach.

I have my drunk friends throwing empty beer cans at me in my backswing. If i can deal with that then Tiger can deal with a couple hecklers.
