79 thrid time out is great... Im looking forward to my trip south next month to get a few rounds in... My goal for this season is to qualify for the Michigan Amature... have to carry a 2 or better handicap...

3rd Time Out
 

I got to play for only the third time this winter yesterday. It was soft but the temp got to 60 degrees. I made quite an improvement. In December I think I shot 89. Last week I think it was 92. 79 yesterday.

One birdie.
One 3 putt bogey, damn I hate those but it was the first hole I played and I didn't practice putt at all before the round.
One double bogey, got a case of the hooks, then decided to start laying turf over the top of the ball with my wedge. Easy to do in the mud.

The greens were good but they hadn't been able to mow so there were these clumps of grass growing up just off the green which made it hard to chip, plus the collars were tall.

The golf course restaurant and bar was closed for it's annual cleaning, so we went to a local dive afterwards. I had several cocktails and a good time was had by all. I think the $5 I won in skins ended up costing me about $40.

So that's the explanation for any typos I had last night. I was almost down to the one finger typing method before I gave up and went to bed.

My goal is to get back into the 80s conisistently...where I was several years ago.
