Need Some Good Mojo

Just received the results to my mri on my left knee. Not good, its a season ender http://www.thehackersparadise.com/fo...ies/crying.png I was trying to be positive and hoped that the ER doctor that told me it was a "severe sprain" was right. He couldn't have been more wrong.

MRI Results:
Fractured Knee
Torn ACL
Torn Medial Meniscus
Tore the Tendon that runs behind my knee
Fluid in the joint

http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/banghead.gif Have to set up a meeting with a specialist and go from there. But I'm sure surgery is in my near future.

sorry for the sob story,
Brad

Proper rant.. Damn it must suck. Just hope that you get the quickest possible recover...

JosephEL 01-08-2012 03:07 PM

Oh that's horrible news...hope you have a safe recovery.

dasneycomrov 01-08-2012 03:07 PM

Yep, that will require surgical repair. Been there done that man and I'm sorry. The rehab is the worst because it takes so long.

GohJHM9k 01-08-2012 03:11 PM

general, i know it's quite a trip for you but, my aunt knows the orthopedic surgeon for the NY Jets(located in Morristown, NJ)...if you want i can see if i can get you the info? the guy is fantastic and did both my grandmothers' knee replacements. sorry to hear that man, wish you all the best on your recovery...

Zptmsemk 01-08-2012 03:12 PM

Sorry to hear that I wish you luck in your recovery.

Loonakind 01-08-2012 03:13 PM

Hey man my thoughts are with you. Hopefully it's a quick recovery

dasneycomrov 01-08-2012 03:23 PM

thanks for the well wishes everyone! Its just been a rough day since I heard the news, but I know I will recover and be back shaving strokes from my game! Gio I appreciate the offer thats an awesome gesture, but I have a family friend that is an ortho so I should be in good hands. Just dreading being feeble and needing help to do the simple things I take for granted.

Get the surgery done, hit the rehab hard over the winter, and you'll be good to go for next golf season. The harder that you work at rehab, the better off you will be in the future!

Zebrabitch 01-08-2012 03:33 PM

UGH, I'm sorry! Knee injuries are not fun. Get it done and keep up on PT and rehab

uaodnabnjz 01-08-2012 04:03 PM

Sorry to hear this. Best wishes and prayers for a full and speedy recovery.

ancexttew 01-08-2012 04:06 PM

sucks Brad hopefully your recovery is quick and you can get back out better than ever next season.

alecoplesosse 01-08-2012 04:10 PM

'Sorry to hear this! I've had 4 knee surgeries and a knee replacement. Like everybody says, have the surgery, hit the rehab hard, and you'll be all ready for next season.

BTW, Morristown is excellent, but if you can get to Special Surgery Hospital in NYC, they're the best.

TRASIAOREXOLA 01-08-2012 04:19 PM

Good luck with the surgery and recovery. I only got to play once last year after a serious meniscus tear, and have had several knee surgeries in the past. You definitely should get on with the surgery as soon as possible so you can be rehabbed and ready to rock when next season starts. I'll throw in a recommendation for the guy who did my knee, the head of Orthopedics at Johns Hopkins. PM me if you'd like contact info. Again, good luck!

Kemapreedasse 01-08-2012 04:33 PM

Man that sucks but get the surgery, do the rehab & hit 'em back up next season. You'll be glad you did. I hobbled around for a while on a worn out knee & it was no fun.
