I'm relatively new to the game and I pretty much read and watch video about all things golf since I started. One thing that interested me was how many golfers have recommended club fitting for lie angle. The logic being that if the the lie angle is wrong, the club face will open or close depending on whether the the club hits the ground toward the toe or toward the heel. Since I am a hack and many of my shots are mishits that might make sense for someone like me.
But, from what I have read and watched, a good golfer hits the ball before the ground with his irons therefore making what the club face does when it hits the ground kind of a moot point. What am I missing here? David |
