Alberta Get Together?

After a few PM's to RenRen89 I was thinking it may be fun to see if we can do an Alberta get together somewhere about the end of July.

Anyone interested?

Absolutly I'm in. July 28 and Aug 4 I'm already booked up with other things so July 29 works or the weekend before I think it's July 21/22. Where are you thinking Edmonton and Lethbridge are a little way's away.

Calgary was where I was thinking - I am going to be there around the end of July on vacation.

don't suppose there's any way that you could golf on say a Thursday at all?

Let me know what thursday. I should be able to make it happen just have to let work know.

Well most thursdays work for me, depends on when tedfroop has time on his vacation. would be near the end of July I'd imagine

cialesxtr 06-25-2012 06:17 AM

I will let work know that i'm taking july 26 off but I will keep it flexable

tilmprarnerit 06-25-2012 10:02 PM

what part of the city?

I would almost prefer if we golfed in the south of the city. Maybe something like Maple Ridge? Although I know with a city course you have to book it by 6 am 4 days in advance or chances of getting a tee time are very slim

cialesxtr 06-26-2012 02:42 AM

What about D'arcy ranch. I would even be willing to go to the Bridges at Claresholm.

Abanijo 06-26-2012 02:57 AM

You guys figure out a place and I can make it Thursday. I will have to give up my tee time at Silvertip but I am sure I can book for another day.

cialesxtr 06-26-2012 03:09 AM

Give up Silvertip what did I hear you right? What day would work for you.

Abanijo 06-26-2012 04:44 AM

My wife is booking Silvertip for a different day, so I can get out with you guys on the 26th. That day works better than Friday (Banff Springs).

Obviously Claresholm would be my preference but it is an hour and a half south of Calgary so I'm not sure if Tedfroop would want to go all that way, but if he does I wouldn't mind playing it. Haven't played it before but it looks nice enough. Plus I can play it for $20 with my reciprocal membership http://www.thehackersparadise.com/fo...lies/alien.png

If that's too far I'd probably leave the choice up to you. After all you know the area best

Abanijo 06-27-2012 01:24 AM

I can get anywhere you guys want to go. Claresholm looks good to me. Especially since I re-booked Silvertip for Saturday.

padlabtard 06-27-2012 02:21 AM

You boys better get this in quick. Winters no more than a week away.

The Aboninable snow man is our fourth. ha ha ha. Sounds like Claresholm is our winner. I'm looking forward to this. I better go adjust my posts about how I can work a fade wait that was a 60 yard slice never mind k im good.

Man wish i was around for this! Will be in Hawaii at that time. You guys want a wicked course try either Speargrass at carseland or Nanton. Both awesome very affordable courses!!

Have you played the Bridges at Claresholm?

jw if you have a comparison vs Nanton.

The Nanton course looks a lot easier than the Bridges especially with a lot less water. About the same price though and looking at the tee sheet just have to wonder how well maintained it is with as many empty spots

How is Canadian golf? I bet the season is a lottttttt shorter than it is in Texas! haha

Very well maintained. Greens are awesome! Played there yesterday. If you want a good tough links style course try speargrass
