Haha, I figured you would. You won't believe the changes I've made since then, I still move some but no fear of breaking a leg anymore, lol.

I understand exactly what was being talked about in this weeks radio show, especially the part about trusting it. I'll admit after my first few lessons at golftec it was difficult to trust what we had been working on without seeing the ball flight. However it soon became clear that just because you don't see the ball flight doesn't mean you're not still getting the feedback you need, via video, data points and still pictures. From that I can see what works and what doesn't work, I don't expressly need to see a ball going down range to know that when I swing on the proper plan and complete a good swing the ball has to go where I told it to.

The system is all about results, not having a ball flight doesn't impede that in anyway. I can manipulate a swing to get the result I want but what good is that if it isn't repeatable or even somewhat consistent. Golftec has given me a new understanding of why I need to be in certain positions through the swing and why one affects the other, I wouldn't have learned that out on a range beating balls. In a 30 minute session we touch on the last lesson and in a concise straight to the point fashion tackle another issue or continue working on the same issue until it has become instinctive.

The outdoor lessons I've had in the past were bandaids on a larger problem and never seemed to stick for more than a few days or weeks. Granted I never had quite the number of sequential lessons like I do with golftec now but even with going in once a month I still see consistency in my swing since starting back with them. Recently I had a round with my instructor and like Jim said I had a few issues with taking what I've worked on out to the course. The nice thing about having Nic there was he was quick to point out when my takeaway was a little outside or I held back on my right side, by the end of the round the swing was clicking and it wasn't due to playing golf swing it was due to trusting all the work we have put into my swing.

my local golftec would have to do lessons in the parking lot in order to do it outside!

they're miles from any course!

I'll have to take a listen to the podcast once I get out of the office

Most courses have their own teachers/lessons and I can't imagine they'd take too kindly to other instructors teaching at their facilities

they must either find courses that don't offer lessons, or give the local teachers a cut of the action

Or neither.

Regardless, that wasn't really the point of the show. I honestly feel a little vindicated in how I went about my lessons this year after hearing it. I'm finally just now learning how to turn that into some better golf. Hearing some of the things Jim said would have helped a couple months ago.
