Default Bella Collina Orlando Golf Course
I must give big ups to fellow THPer Spank818 for setting up an absolutely phenomenal golf adventure today. I am in Orlando and he set up a round at Bell Collina Course which was simply an incredible course. From our arrival I knew this place was special. Its a Tuscan style club 50,000 sq ft clubhouse with every ammenity one could imagine. I hope the pics do this place justice.

The course was a tough test with immense elevation changes which is rare in Florida from my experience. I bet the course had 150 bunkers which were wide, long and deep. I thought they were sink holes with sand. I am quite sure the sq footage of bunkers was nearly equal to the sq footage of fairway. Loved the entire set up.

One funny story was when we were on hole #2 Spank had crushed a shot from about 200 onto the fringe and made a long putt for par if I recall correctly. Well that put woke up a hornets nest inside the cup. Good thing the hornets came out before he reached for ball. He and I were dodging this pissed off hornet as it chased us around the green. We finally faked the hornet and Spank grabbed is ball and then I ran in and grabbed my marker and exited the green. We drive back to the group behind us and had to explain why they saw us running all over the green. I think they conceded pars for everyone on that hole too. This was in of the funniest things I had experienced on the course.

During this round I believe I hit 140 of the bunkers. I was on fire and couldn't miss a bunker if I tried and believe I tried. Great round nevertheless. Spanks has a 4h he should kiss once a day he is so good with it.

The clubhouse is something to behold. I can't even explain it. I hope everyone gets to play and experience this jewel. Thanks for setting this up Spanks it is in of those days I won't soon forget.

Here are some random photos:

Bella is stunning. It's a shame the economy halted the home development around the course. I hope it was busy.

BTW Did you got a chance to see the locker and bathroom?

Oh yeah. All I can say is wrought iron everywhere, copper plated sinks, hardwood floors, oil rubbed bronze hardware everywhere, wall to wall granite and tile and a smiling lion to greet you in the showers. Yeah, real high quality.

Ill have pics that I hope I can post later. Least to say I was impressed by this course. Since I live on the east side of town it's always been a course that I shied away from due to the distance. Turned out that it wasnt a long drive and it was well worth it.
