Default 2012 Morgan Cup Participant Rules
In just a few short weeks, the 2012 Morgan Cup will be underway. As many of you know, this event is unlike any other and because of that, and the magnitude of what is happening, there are some rules that must be followed. This year, these rules are to be followed and will be strictly enforced. Failure to abide by them will result in penalties up to and including DQ.

Other rules will be addressed at the event.

Media Day
On Media Day, your entire staff bag must be on the driving range with you.
You must address the web cam every 20 minutes.
You must be ready and take your promo filming seriously.
If you are going to be hitting another sponsor's equipment, do so away from any cameras.

Sponsor Rules
All OEM Headcovers must be used on clubs before and after each shot.
If you got eyewear from your sponsor, you must have them on you. If you are not wearing them, they must be on the back of your head, shirt or somewhere else.
You must use the glove supplied by the OEM if a glove is being used.
If your company did not supply specific apparel or accessories, then all non company logos must be covered up by tape at the discretion of the official.

Event Course Rules
All golf matches will follow the rules of golf outlined by the USGA. If there is a question of the rules, you will contact an official (a member of GG's team).
Cell phones are not permitted to be used during the golf round.
If a media person asks for an interview (on or off the course), regardless of your situation or mindset, you must take the interview at that time.
There will be NO swearing of any kind on the golf course. Proper language is needed. This is to be strictly enforced.
There will be NO club slamming or throwing of any kind or you will be asked to leave the event.
You must respect the pace of play policy of the golf course.
Stand alone GPS units and Rangefinders are allowed to be used in the event.

General Rules
Fans and followers are allowed on the course, but must wait for the group to move to their ball before proceeding (staying behind players).
The most important rule of all is that if you are unsure of something, please ask.
Shirts must be tucked in and remain tucked in at all times. If it comes untucked, it must be fixed immediately.
While smoking is allowed, it is not allowed on camera.
Alcohol is prohibited during event play.
If you are drinking a soda, bottle of water, or sports drink, please make sure brand label is not showing on camera.

While things are similar, they are not quite the same and there were some additions. The rules will be taken seriously this year. Interviews should be taken seriously and while the event is all about fun, the entire process needs to have a little more "serious" edge to it.

Good thing I didn't make a team as my mouth has become pretty bad during a round, lol. I'd have to have Cookies shock collar on to get zapped a few times before the round.

This event is suppose to give you the experience of playing like a pro but you can't cuss or throw clubs like Tiger?

No drinking or swear on the course? Those are the two things I'm best at. Good thing I don't have to worry about it.

When it comes to GPS or rangefinders, do the participants have to cover up those logos as well?

Interesting, since I wasn't around for the last Morgan Cup I was curious as to all the specific rules. Very cool to read. Gives it really that professional feel. I'm excited for everyone involved and those of us that get to watch everything online!
