For driver, I used to set the club behind the tee because I had a position on the face that was my reference. I now put my index finger on the ground beside the tee, because that mark on the driver corresponds with the top of the the tee being right at my middle knuckle. Same height check, but quicker and don't have to bring the club into it.

I usually try to use the club head as a reference just as other people have pointed out. Seems to work the best for me

Clearly I am biased, but even without the THP logo on them, the Epoch with lines are the best I have used to date.

I've been using the same Consistent-Tee for about 11 rounds.

I will also recommend epoch tees.
I set my tee height based on what kind of ball flight I want. I use the little line on the tee for a normal ball flight, and I tee it higher or lower if I want to adjust launch angle. |
