I am wondering how many of you are like me. I got a terrible case of the shanks earlier in the season that I could not recover from and it ended up being the kick I needed to take lessons again. I have been working for the last two months, learning my swing from scratch. We have my swing to the point where my back swing, the top of my swing and finish are solid with the occasional nagging flaw but nothing that kills I cannot play with and iron out. However, I have one glaring issue, like many amateur golfers I cast and it kills me.. I have a bunch of drills and I know exactly what the issue is but I cannot seem to correct it. This leads me to my title, I can get the swing in slow motion, I know exactly where the club needs to be but for the life of me when I take a swing it goes right out the window. I feel like its so close, its right there, I know what I need to do but translating it from my brain to my body eludes me. Anyone else have this issue? I had the same problem when trying to learn guitar, I knew what notes I wanted to play but getting my hands to them was a challenge.
