The waggle

Do you have a waggle? How did you come to get your waggle; did you focus on a certain pre-shot movement until it was engrained or did it just develop itself naturally? I don't really have a set waggle and it feels wrong to consciously think about making a pre-shot move. I have always thought of a waggle as a natural, sun-conscious movement and I feel like I don't need to add any more swing thoughts.

Never had a waggle and I think it feels funny..

Yes, I waggle....mine is similar to Dufners as I take the club back and forth....but mine is mostly to get my feet where they feel in the correct position....once I feel comfortable...I ground the club....wait a few seconds and fire. It's never a set number...just till I feel it...and yes it just happened naturally, I have been doing it for years.

I also waggle naturally, it helps me keep loose during my swing.

i waggle as well but as a way to get relaxed, i waggle till i feel relaxed, like the golf club is barely hanging in my hands and arm, then i pull the trigger, sounds like a lot but its actually only about 3-5 quick waggles haha ... btw, i literally swing away from the hovering position, i do not reground the club

I waggle. I have tried and tried to stop it, but I can't. Its become just as much a part of my golf swing as anything else. I feel uncomfortable if I don't do it.

I don't waggle. I step up to the ball, swing, deal with the consequences.

im not a waggler. i just look at my target and shoot

There's nothing wrong with that biglee, embrace it.

I agree. It keeps me loose. The only bad thing is that sometimes it makes me think too much when I am over the ball if that makes any sense. Id much rather get my line when I'm behind the ball, take a practice swing, then step up and hit it. I'm powerless to my waggle...lol

step up, get my alignment, ground to club, 3 waggles to get my hands ready to feel the way I am going to set them on the takeaway then pull the trigger. I know however when I say this part I am not the only one, but how many of you get just a bit carried away with the waggle and lose focus and knock the ball off the tee when its teed up. Its quite embarassing and the hecklers with "well it went straight or pulled that one a bit", kinda funny though.

I always waggle almost never take a practice swing but I stare down my target and waggle away feeling the shot and adjusting my ball position and aligneing my feet I hardly even notice the the ball and look like Daffy duck swating flies. It's safe to say I'm a feel player

Ive got the waggles. I usually ground the club, look at the target, do two waggles, ground the club again, do two waggles then swing. Doesnt take me long, less than 10 seconds from the time I step up to the ball. It helps me release my death grip on the club and relax.

deackatera 06-21-2012 12:25 PM

No waggle here, I look at my line set the club and hit it.

wmzeto 06-21-2012 12:30 PM

I have a little bit of a waggle. If I don't I get way too tense and that does bode well for a smooth swing.

soipguibbom 06-21-2012 03:03 PM

Just a little waggle to get the feet set and relax the shoulders and forearms.

dexterljohnthefinanceguy 06-21-2012 03:04 PM

I waggle and I think it came from baseball.

kathy 06-21-2012 03:05 PM

I will waggle a little but if it becomes noticable it usually means the round is not going too well.

BuyCheapest 06-21-2012 03:46 PM

I wiggle, waggles are for serious golfers and can be dangerous at my age.

agildeta 06-21-2012 03:55 PM

I got a little waggle.. I'm with Jrod. Probably came from baseball.
