Default Play in the rain
I always hated when I would see a weather report and it would say rain in the forecast. Well yesterday I just happen to get out early from work and it was over 2 weeks since I touched a golf club because I was away on vacation. Of course I check the weather it says rain but it said only 20% chance. Of course that 20% chance happens while I'm out but the twist was, I played some of the best 9 holes of golf I've ever played. I almost par'd 9 holes if it wasn't for two holes where one of the two I used poor course management. I should start playing in the rain more often!

I love playing in the rain. I've found I have no expectations so I don't get upset with myself if I hit a bad shot. I'm just out there to have fun.

I don't often play in the rain, but I have some of the most relaxing times when there's a little 15-20 minute shower passing through. Just me and the golf buddies on our carts, there's a very large tree next to the practice green which also has very large and thick leaves. So we just go park under it, breathe in the fresh air, and sip on some adult beverages.

Me either. If the forecast looks like a short small shower midway through, I might play, but if it looks like it's going to be a prolonged rain sometime during the round, I'll pass.

Exactly....golf costs too much and is hard enough in dry conditions....why bother going out in the rain and not enjoy it?

playing in the rain sucks...i'm not gonna say i enjoy it, cuz that'd be dumb, BUT....golf is played outdoors and sometimes it rains and sometimes it's cold, etc...
so it's always good to know how to play well in these conditions, cuz this is when you can capitalize on playing partners or league play or tourney play, cuz the majority of the people will not play well in the rain or cold.

I dislike playing in the rain. I need to invest in some good rain gear because then I'd probably enjoy it more.

If there's one thing that can ruin golf for me, it's rain. I hate it. I hate when my hands get wet and I can't get them dry. It would help if courses would bring out fresh, dry towels or something. I've always wondered why golf carts don't offer a roof with more overhang. I hate sitting in a cart getting wet b/c the water just rolls off the roof of the cart. Stupid rain.

Dude, wear rain gloves. You have more traction than when its dry.

I have some of the best wet weather gloves on the planet but I still hate it. I'd rather peace out and play when it's not raining.

I'm with Paulo on this one. I play in the rain all the time. If I didn't, I would never get to play golf Rain isn't so bad, I used to hate it, but now I actually enjoy it a little bit. Not the raining so hard you can't see the green rain. But normal rain is kind of refreshing. I guess thats what I get for living in Oregon.

I don't mind playing in it, it's just annoying drying out all the clubs/bag/pockets after the round.

As long as it's not a huge downpour and it's not cold at the same time as it's raining (say below 15 degrees) I don't mind playing in the rain

I don't mind so much if the rain is coming straight down and it's not freezing.
