Default Help from Stranger
As a college student who is it of school for the Summer, I thought I would learn a game I always enjoyed watching- golf.

In the past week I've been to the range about three times. I've learned that this game can be so frustrating!

On today's trip I was hitting the ball worse then I did on day one.

While packing up a older man approached me to ask if I'd like to hit balls with him a couple times this week, he assured me he wasn't a pro, but is there a few times a week and might be able to show me a few things to help out.

He told me that he had given lessons to a few kids before and it's something he enjoys.

We planned to meet tomorrow, but he didn't mention any time of payment. Do you think taking advice from a stranger could hurt me, and what do you think I should offer to pay for the advice?

I thought it may be appropriate to just pay for our bucket of balls.

Pay for the balls. Schedule some rounds together if you get along.

But get there early, or he might be waiting with you and already paid for the balls!

Buy the balls and if you like what he says and it works for you go out and play a round. If nothing else you could have a new guy to golf with.

As stated above. Pay for the balls and soak in the knowledge. Sounds like it is something he enjoys and is a hobby for him.

That's one of the things I love about this sport. I spend a lot of time on the range and see this on a frequent basis. Hope this works out for you.
