what funny golf misconceptions have you guys heard, such as I'm going to buy a draw driver to cure my over the top slice, or that there isn't any difference between a $50 driver and a $400 driver or if I aim left of the target I won't slice! Good ones so far. I'm going to go with the one on Mythbusters where they tested the theory that since trees are 90% air, golfers should be able to hit balls through them and they would more often then not get through cleanly. Anyone who plays golf didn't need to watch any further to see how that little experiment would turn out.

Even beer pong is a sport now, they even have leagues. Try explaining to the wife how you have to go out and play beer pong because you are in the finals and the team is counting on you.
