Well I am teaching my golf unit right now to 6-8th graders!!!!! Some of the kids are open minded and are giving it a good effort. A lot of them are so closed minded it is a shame. They hate that we are doing this and the sad thing is they won't even get dressed to participate. They think it is easy but they can not hit even a tennis ball.

Right now we are all hitting 9i and I have them hitting tennis balls to help with the success rate. It is amazing to see some of these kids try and hit the ball. Many of them have no concept of hand eye coordination. That is the biggest thing we are working on is just getting them to actually hit the ball.

It is still fun and some are really understanding what to do. It is a work in progress. I hope that my 6th graders by the time they get in 8th grade will show much improvement and really start to appreciate this great game.
