How many of you guys have to play off an astroturf or plastic mat during the winter?
My club implement this, and it annoys me slightly. I don't mean the reasons, because I appreciate a nice course in the summer months. The bit that annoys me is that I'm playing a ball which sits about an inch or so above where it should, so for the first couple of weeks of summer, I'm topping everything regularly! Also, lugging about a large piece of plastic mat is a bit of a pain when you're walking the course. What do you guys make of this alternative? I've got one. I won't tell you what I think, but I'd like some opinions on it. It's basically a piece of reinforced fiberglass, similar to the feeling of a lie board when hitting. http://www.fairwaysaver.co.uk/ |
