What are your thoughts on my swing pic? Looks like you're not getting a good extension. Looks like your elbows are too close to your body at that point in your swing, like maybe you're chicken-winging?

Thats exactly what I felt. It still produced a good shot but I was thinking I was too close.

Great lower body action, nice hip release against a well planted left leg. Now that lack of extension as Smalls pointed out is robbing you of consistency, power and distance. Granted is happening after impact. if that produced a quality shot then your timing was on. If you have an off day and get out infront of it or hang back on it..you will see some difficult swings. BTW..I like that your accomplishments were captured on GD, nice touch

I agree with the great looking body action but the arms are alligator short. Alignment includes standing the proper distance from the ball not just getting the body lines right. A lesson with a pro would probably produce dramatic results in only one session. Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

Thought I would mention that this is a dogleg Par 4 for right handers. That shot I pulled off here was in fact a draw. That could be why my elboys were tucked in. It may not be text book for a draw but it def worked that time

Lidawka 10-30-2011 06:36 PM

IA if it works then play it, we are just responding to your request for feedback.

Dvjkefdw 10-30-2011 06:40 PM

Oh I know and thats what I wanted. I was just metioning that it was a doglet left for me which requires a draw. But I totally appreciate the feedback weather its good or bad!

So lefties aren't allowed to play this hole, or is is straight for us?

Dvjkefdw 10-30-2011 06:47 PM

Oh leftys are welcome! It would be a nice fade for you. Tee box is about 20 yds higher than the fairway and it doesnt dogleg until about the last 100 yds. Trees all along the left side and 2 fairway bunkers on the right of the turn. Not a hard hole but you must play it right

Looks great !
