Default Where do you buy your golf equipment?
In my current setup, I bought my Cleveland 3 Wood at a Dicks but most of my gear I buy from reputable ebay dealers. I would like to give my $$$ to local stores but you can't beat the price. I just bought a set of Srixon Z-star irons for $475 from a reputable online dealer...while at the local golf store it would have cost around $850. Sorry..but that is $375 difference.

What about you all?

I buy alot of stuff from my local Golf Etc, the customer service is great, and I want to do my part to keep them around. I will sometimes take advantage of a great deal online. I also frequently order used golf balls online.

I am a shopper and tend to try to find the best deal and lately that has been on ebay. I have gotten a couple of steals. First I got my Wilson staff CI9 Irons for a pretty low price and then I got a never compromise dinero baron for a price that no one has even come close to. If you are willing to take the time and do some research ebay and online dealers are the way to go if you are looking for the best prices.

Just check where you buy a majority of your gear.

I have had the same irons and woods for at least 4 years now so I probably don't qualify to answer this, but I have bought a few hybrids and wedges online from various sites and I bought my most recent putter at Dicks. If I remember to do it I will buy balls and gloves online - I don't really like going into stores and shopping so I do basic stuff like that online and also buy grips and stuff that I do myself. Once in a while I have to go in and I am becoming somewhat of a regular at Dicks. Every few months I will go to a Watts or a Golfsmith and hit some new clubs on the monitor. I am not a big believer in equipment fixing a swing.

I like doing business with my home course. I buy 99% of my golf stuff there. Discounts to members, so I always do well there. I want my money going to the little guy that needs it most, not some guy online I'll never know, or some big box store that could care less about me.

Feel the same about the little guy without your discount? Don't you work there too? Two discounts?

I buy wherever the deal is:

Driver: EBay
3 wood: Rockbottomgolf
3hybrid: EBay
JPX 800s: local
Wedge: rockbottomgolf
Shoes: rockbottomgolf
Balls: 95% online

I live right down the street from an Edwin Watts, and a friend from my Golf League is Manager there. I know some have issues with their Customer Service, but I am a fan of my local store here.

All of the above, plus I have started stealing stuff whenever I can. Mine and Thainers thread, "Equipment Stealing with Thainer and the Breeze" explains everything you need to know about sneaking away with a new wedge set.

Mostly ebay, sometimes a used store near here and very rarely Golftown. No way I would pay the premium at a course shop- its just throwing money away,
